Welcome Message from Carol Jenkins
For more than 90 years, World Learning has equipped individuals and institutions to address the world’s most pressing problems. We believe that, working together with our partners, we can change this world for the better.
On my travels, I’ve had the opportunity to meet with many of those who have joined us in this mission. In Baghdad, we’ve trained more than 2,300 Iraqi youth who are already giving back at home. In London, our partners in the TAAP Initiative strongly believe that we are all responsible to practice inclusion. And in Vermont, our Experiment in International Living and School for International Training participants prove every day that they have the tools and the determination to change the world.
Please join us in our pursuit of a more peaceful and just world.

A Youth Ambassadors Travel Program is a traditional international exchange to the United States. Ten to Twenty-day, single, and multi-country exchanges take place at various times of the year; exact dates will vary by exchange country. Through a travel program, Youth Ambassadors will engage in experiential learning activities, leadership trainings, civic participation at the community level, and mentoring by community, business, and NGO leaders. Inbound Youth Ambassadors will also learn about United States culture through host community site visits and programming.
A Youth Ambassadors Hybrid Program is a domestic program taking place within the participants’ home country. The program contains both virtual and domestic travel components including synchronous and asynchronous activities, experiential learning activities, leadership training, civic participation at the community level, and an intercultural learning component.
A Youth Ambassadors Virtual Program takes place fully online. Youth Ambassadors participants connect virtually for synchronous and asynchronous online activities over the course of four to eight weeks. Virtual programming includes full group workshops based on program themes, social hours hosted by Youth Ambassadors Program Alumni, and small discussion groups. The time commitment for virtual Youth Ambassadors is between 6-12 hours per week. A computer, laptop, or tablet, and internet access are required for the duration of the virtual program.
The Youth Ambassadors Program encourages all qualified individuals to apply, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability status.
