Program Description

The Master's Scholarship Program (MSP) provided 20 Palestinian university graduates with access to master’s-level educational opportunities in the U.S.

The program aimed to build the capacity of key Palestinian sectors including water treatment, agribusiness, industrial production and operations management, public administration, teaching English as a foreign language, construction management, and youth development. Upon completion of their master’s programs, participants returned home with technical knowledge and skills that will contribute to the development of the Palestinian economy, as well as new perspectives and ideas that will enhance their development as leaders and increase their understanding of the U.S. In addition, MSP continued to support participants through follow-on activities in the West Bank and Gaza that enriched their academic experience and contributed to community development such as internships, research opportunities, and community service events. As lead implementer of MSP, World Learning worked in close collaboration with in-country partner AMIDEAST.
