Program Description
The MEPI Alumni Connection program, part of the U.S. Department of State’s U.S.-Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), serves over 2,000 MEPI alumni from across the MENA region who have completed MEPI’s leadership programs that include Students Leaders Program, Tomorrow’s Leaders, and Leadership for Development Fellowship.
Together with our partners Arcenciel and TAMSS the goal is to promote community and business leadership in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region through alumni engagement. It focuses on creating local and regional networking opportunities; providing professional development opportunities; encouraging innovation through small grants opportunities; providing tailored training and technical assistance to MEPI alumni; and tailoring programs in coordination with U.S. embassies in the region to address specific alumni needs in each country. World Learning places a strong emphasis on inclusive practices with a focus on ensuring gender parity and the inclusion of alumni and supporting partners from and/or serving marginalized or underprivileged groups, such as persons with disabilities (PWD), LGBTQI alumni, religious or ethnic minorities, or those from disadvantaged socio-economic status.

Program Goals
- Ensure consistent and efficient streams of knowledge and communication between World Learning, MEPI, and Posts.
- Prepare MEPI Alumni to serve as ambassadors to promote the MEPI program’s objectives and values.
- Strengthen ties between alumni from various programs to build networks, team spirit, and collaboration on projects to serve the communities in which they live and work.
- Develop alumni leadership skills to increase their contributions to their local, national, and regional communities.
The MEPI Alumni Connection program will support and engage alumni in Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, West Bank/Gaza, and Yemen. Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the U.S. Department of State’s U.S. Middle East Partnership Initiative.

نبذة عن البرنامج:
تخدم رابطة خريجي ميبي التابعة لمبادرة الشراكة الشرق أوسطية (MEPI) المنضوية تحت وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية أكثر من 2,000 من خريجي برامج ميبي من مختلف أنحاء منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، والذين أكملوا برامج القيادة التي تقدمها المبادرة والتي تتضمن برنامج القادة الطلاب، وبرنامج رواد ورائدات الغد، وزمالة تنمية الرواد.
كما تهدف رابطة خريجي ميبي، بالتعاون مع شركائنا Arcenciel وTAMSS، الى تعزيز القيادة المجتمعية وريادة الاعمال في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا من خلال مشاركة الخريجين. وتركز الرابطة على خلق فرص تشبيك محلية وإقليمية؛ توفير فرص التطوير المهني؛ التشجيع على الابتكار من خلال تقديم منح صغيرة؛ توفير تدريبات مخصصة ومساعدات تقنية؛ وتصميم البرامج بالتنسيق مع سفارات الولايات المتحدة الامريكية في المنطقة لتلبية احتياجات الخريجين المحددة في كل دولة. كما تؤكد منظمة World Learning بشدة على أهمية سياساتها الإدماجية والشمولية مع التركيز على ضمان التكافؤ بين الجنسين وإدماج الاشخاص من مختلف الانتماءات الدينية والعرقية والجندرية الخ.
أهداف المشروع:
- تأسيس مسارات متسقة وفعالة من المعرفة والتواصل بين World Learning وميبي والسفارات الامريكية.
- إعداد خريجي ميبي للعمل كسفراء لتعزيز أهداف وقيم البرنامج.
- تعزيز الروابط بين الخريجين من مختلف البرامج لبناء شبكات التواصل والتحلي بروح الفريق والتعاون في المشاريع لخدمة المجتمعات التي يعيشون ويعملون بها.
- تطوير المهارات القيادية للخريجين لزيادة مساهماتهم في مجتمعاتهم المحلية والوطنية والإقليمية.
ستقوم رابطة خريجي ميبي بدعم وإشراك الخريجين في الجزائر والبحرين ومصر والعراق وإسرائيل والأردن والكويت ولبنان وليبيا والمغرب وقطر والمملكة العربية السعودية وسوريا وتونس والضفة الغربية / غزة واليمن.
