Sellina Kanyerere-Mkwetez

Title: Chief of Party for the Malawi Scholarship Program

Dr. Sellina Kanyerere-Mkwetez holds a doctorate in education with concentration in leadership, a master's of education in policy, planning and leadership; a bachelor's degree in general education with computer science and English as minor subjects, and a primary school teacher certificate.

She is a seasoned and results oriented educator, facilitator and a leader who has been in the education system for over 15 years before joining World Learning where she is now chief of party for the Malawi Scholarship Program. Funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development, the program trains healthcare workers to improve healthcare delivery and management in the country

She also holds the position of board chairperson for the Chisomo Children’s Club, which works with street children in the country in order to provide child protection. In addition, she provides leadership to the Malawi U.S. Exchange Alumni Association (MUSEAA) as vice chairperson.

Despite her busy schedule she still finds time to join the Rotary Club.
