IDEAS Grants in Action: Frederick Community College

The Capacity Building Program for U.S. Study Abroad helps Increase and Diversify Education Abroad for U.S. Students through its IDEAS small grants competition. Twenty-two higher education institutions in the United States received grants of up to $35,000 as a part of the 2019 grant competition. During the 2017/18 academic year, only 1.7% of community college students studied abroad.* With its IDEAS Grant, Frederick Community College is able to provide funding for professors to develop faculty-led study abroad programs in Ghana.
