About Us
Welcome Message from Carol Jenkins
For more than 90 years, World Learning has equipped individuals and institutions to address the world’s most pressing problems. We believe that, working together with our partners, we can change this world for the better.
On my travels, I’ve had the opportunity to meet with many of those who have joined us in this mission. In Baghdad, we’ve trained more than 2,300 Iraqi youth who are already giving back at home. In London, our partners in the TAAP Initiative strongly believe that we are all responsible to practice inclusion. And in Vermont, our Experiment in International Living and School for International Training participants prove every day that they have the tools and the determination to change the world.
Please join us in our pursuit of a more peaceful and just world.

Program Description
The Digital Connections Program aims to foster local, regional, and global networks of digital influencers across multiple sectors to foster resilient information ecosystems and address new and emerging threats.
Around the world, new technologies are rapidly changing how people connect and engage in the digital and information field. The Digital Connections Program equips participants with greater knowledge of the information landscape and digital literacy skills to affect change in their professional organizations and home communities, leading to stronger civil society institutions. Through various projects across several regions, the Digital Connections Program seeks to empower networks of diverse professionals who can identify creative and sustainable solutions to current and future information challenges.
Program Goals
- Increase participants’ understanding of how to use digital tools and products responsibly in support of democratic values and human freedoms;
- Expand the skills and resources of a diverse group of multi-disciplinary professionals and civic leaders, both in the United States and around the world, to develop whole-of-society solutions to address complex global challenges;
- Facilitate the sharing of knowledge and expertise across borders, thematic areas, and generational divides to counter and build societal resilience to disinformation and online hate and harassment;
- Develop, connect, and harness the power of global networks to support democratic values and human freedoms.
