WASHINGTON (August 18, 2014) World Learning announced today that Kote Lomidze will return to the organization as chief financial officer, overseeing all global financial and information technology operations and activities. He previously spent three years at World Learning, serving as finance director for international development and exchange programs and then deputy CFO.

SIT Celebrates 50 Year Commitment to Experiential Learning and Social Justice

The School for International Training (SIT) marked its 50th anniversary with a celebration and reunion August 8–10 on its campus in Brattleboro with hundreds of alumni, staff, students and friends from as the United States and around the world. The weekend featured receptions, panels, and sessions celebrating SIT’s commitment to experiential learning and social justice.

World Learning Announces Social Innovation Fellows

World Learning awarded the second Advancing Leaders Fellowship to five young social innovators on April 3. The event, held at the Centre for Social Innovation, drew approximately 150 people and featured guest speaker Aaron Hurst, CEO of Imperative and founder of the Taproot Foundation.

World Learning has established a scholarship in honor of Alvino and Bea Fantini, who have a combined 98 years of dedicated service to the organization, and will recognize them at a banquet this summer as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations for the School for International Training (SIT).
