The following programs were supported by the Kosovo Women's Fund.
- The Media Project/Radio TV 2
Skopje, Macedonia, and Prishtina, Kosovo
- $20,000 for computer equipment and
start-up expenses to re-establish radio broadcasting to the
Macedonian Kosovar refugee community and, through the Internet,
to send news to the global community on the Kosovo crisis;
and
- $14,000 to re-establish the Center
for Journalism and Conflict Resolution and the Kosovo Young
Women's Network. Designated support from the Urgent Action
Fund.
- Center for the Protection of Women
and Children
Tetova,
Macedonia, and Prishtina, Kosovo
- $10,000 for computer equipment and start-up costs to provide
health and trauma care services for women refugees in camps
and in the Albanian community in Tetova;
- $15,000 to support trauma services for victims of war-related
violence and advocacy for women who will potentially testify
in the International Criminal Court; and
- $6,900 to support Dr. Vjosa Dobruna, director of the Center's
health policy work. Designated support from the Urgent Action
Fund.

- $10,000 to support honoraria, communications, gasoline,
and computer equipment purchases for outreach and trauma care
support program to nearly 2000 Roma refugees from Kosovo.

- $3,900 to underwrite a volunteer-led refugee support and
family reunification program by this local women's organization.
- Humanitarian Association for Emancipation,
Solidarity and Equality, "Women's Hands, Women's Hearts"

- $10,000 to support workshops in camps and communities that
will bring together Macedonian, Albanian and Kosovar women
to build better understanding of each other through practical
discussions on health and human rights issues.

- $9,050 for psychosocial and support services to displaced
and refugee women in this regional community.
- Organization of Women in Development
Tetovo, Macedonia
- $6,900 to underwrite a documentation project on refugee
women's experiences with violence.
- Autonomous Women's Center
Beograd, Serbia
- $7,500 to support the 1999 summer school on women's human
rights and social change for young women from Serbia, Vojvodina
and Montenegro. The teaching team is Croatian, Bosnian and
Serbian;
- $10,000 to support a documentation project by a network
of women's organizations on the 77 days of war, which will
launch community-based reconciliation work; and
- $7,000 to support the 2000 summer school.

- $10,000 to underwrite materials production, travel and
training costs for experienced Bosnian and Croatian women
to train Kosovar and Macedonian women in setting up programs
to provide trauma care and psychosocial services for displaced
refugee women and children; and
- $4,700 for the follow-up workshops.

- $5,000 for services to support Macedonian families who
are providing extensive support to Kosovar refugee families.

- $30,000 to finance library reconstruction, advocacy for
school reconstruction and expenses for rural girls to attend
secondary schools and university; and
- $100,000 general support from the Unitarian Universalist
Service Committee.

Kumanovo, Macedonia
- $10,000 to finance permanent office space for this expanding
organization, which is addressing urgent needs of Roma refugees
as well as the empowerment of women in the community and surrounding
villages.

- $5,000 to underwrite partial start-up costs for translators
training program and publications production center for young
women in Kosovo.
- Women's Political Participation-Training
and Advocacy Skills Project; Women's Studies
Subotica, Serbia
- $15,000 to underwrite workshops for NGO, trade union and
public sector women in ten communities.
- Association of Businesswomen
Beograd, Serbia
- $3,200 for general support.
- Women's Studies
Novi Sad, Serbia
- $1,876 to support the school.
- Women in Black Conference
Ulcinj, Montenegro
- $750 to underwrite transportation costs for women from
Serbia, Vojvodina, Montenegro and Bosnia to attend a three-day
conference on the theme of nonviolence and peacebuilding.
- Women's Political Network
Beograd, Serbia
- $500 to support the first ever network of women from civil
society, political parties, independent media and trade unions
organized in Serbia. The main objective of the Network is
to raise public awareness and support the democratic opposition
movement. The network will publicly introduce their work at
street demonstrations in Beograd and will distribute leaflets
with messages on women's issues. $500 is to support the printing
of leaflets.

- $1,200 to support workshops and roundtables.
- Women's Forum of the Association of
Free and Independent Trade Unions (AFITU)
Beograd, Serbia
- $3,500 for printing of promotional material used at the
May 1 parade. This is the first trade union association for
women in Serbia. The goal of their project "No Changes without
Women" is to inform as many women members of the AFITU as
possible and to educate them about their rights, how to unite
and how to advocate for problems and issues.
- Women's Initiative for Self-Employment
Novi Sad, Vojvodina
- $5,300 emergency fund to repair damage of facilities burnt
in a recent fire.
- Women's Business Association
Podgorica, Montenegro
- $5,000 to support the first women's business association
in Montenegro.
