Hany Attalla

Title: Chief of Party for the Education Consortium for the Advancement of STEM in Egypt

Hany Attalla has spent his career in project management working with non-profit organizations, civil society, and senior government officials in strategic planning, policy setting, and project implementation. He has managed a wide range of projects including education, decentralized finance, cultural heritage, capacity building, institutionalization and knowledge transfer, public works, information, communication and technology, and economic growth. During his career Atalla has worked with a host of leading organizations like the United Nations Development Program, the World Bank, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH, and the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, in addition to various U.S.-based contractors implementing USAID funded projects and local development agencies and think tanks. He possesses strong technical knowledge and on-the-ground expertise to advise central and local governments on best practices, improving efficiencies and policy design. Atalla was born in Egypt and trained in the United States. He speaks fluent Arabic and holds a Master degree from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
