English as a Second Language in US Public Schools

Certification Portfolio

After completing the Certification Internship, each student will compile a Certification Portfolio that consists of a collection of documents and written reflections. The portfolio will demonstrate that the student has achieved professional competencies in teaching ESL, as set forth by the MAT program and the State of Vermont. Along with their portfolio, students must also submit official results of the PRAXIS I test for reading, writing, and mathematics and a final paper of 15-20 pages.
