Additional Program Options

CONTACT Graduate Certificate/SIT Master of Arts in Conflict Transformation

The Joint Graduate Certificate/SIT Master of Arts combines the CONTACT (Conflict Transformation Across Cultures) Graduate Certificate Program with the Master of Arts in Conflict Transformation or the Master of Arts in Intercultural Service, Leadership, and Management. Participants in this program attend the CONTACT Summer Peacebuilding Institute and the CONTACT Graduate Certificate Program and then complete an additional six months of on-campus coursework, a practicum, and a capstone.

CONTACT Summer Peacebuilding Institute

Offered annually in June, the CONTACT Summer Peacebuilding Institute is a three-week residential educational and experiential training that focuses on the professional development of peacebuilders and their communities. It offers core skills and practical tools for analyzing and responding to conflict in intergroup and communal life. It includes a two-week foundation course in Conflict Transformation and Global Relations followed by one-week elective courses.

Part-time Study

The on-campus phase will be completed over the course of four consecutive academic semesters (a two-year period). Students may pursue this option with written approval from their academic advisor and the associate dean.

SIT Master's Community Development Program with AmeriCorps*VISTA
