Using London as your storyboard, prepare for a unique journey across the UK through documentary film. After visiting important sites such as Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, the Tower of London, and Piccadilly Circus, get ready for a hands-on introduction to filmmaking and multicultural British youth culture.

Meet a British filmmaker who will join your group for the duration of the program. Your orientation concludes with five days of training and preparation at an independent film production studio and school in Nottingham.

Ease into daily life with a generous English family during a weeklong homestay. Visit the local chip shop, go hill walking, or stroll the cobblestone streets with new friends.

Action: Travel and Film Making
Travel across the Midlands and Northern England, using cities, towns, and villages as your sets. You and your group meet British young people, sharing their activities while creating an unforgettable documentary film about British culture and life.

Voyage for nearly two weeks to Liverpool and West Yorkshire, home of the National Film Museum and center of British- Asian culture. Explore its diverse communities as a guest of local youth centers while working in small teams to produce your film. Return to Nottingham for three days of editing and production before unveiling your masterpiece. Complete your remarkable journey with an overnight in London.
