Argentina: Cultural Adventure, Service, and the Great Outdoors
Bienvenidos a Argentina.
With a unique combination of rugged natural beauty, European colonial architecture, and passionate South American rhythm, Argentina is a country to be savored. Spend four fascinating weeks discovering Buenos Aires, trekking through rural Argentina, and practicing your Spanish language skills as you live and work with your new Argentinean family and friends.
Orientation in Buenos Aires
Called "The Paris of South America" for its rich cultural heritage and thriving street life, Buenos Aires is a perfect introduction to Argentina and its people. For four days, you and your group walk the wide boulevards, take in the ornate rococo buildings, and practice your Spanish in the city’s many restaurants, theaters, cabarets, and art galleries. To top off your experience, you sail by catamaran to the surrounding islands to learn about the unique delta biosystem and the region’s flora and fauna.
Homestay and Community Service
Immerse yourself in Argentinean culture as you live with a warm, generous host family. Help prepare traditional dishes, explore colorful Indian markets, relax at outdoor cafés, and visit museums, parks, and schools with your host family and friends. Then, give back to the community as you participate in a meaningful community service project.
Sample host communities: Salta, Posadas, Santa Fe
