Trial Databases

Periodically the library has trial subscriptions to test new databases. You can access these databases throughout the trial period through the link below. We welcome your feedback on these databases at any time regarding your experience and the content: library@sit.edu.

Please note the ending date of each trial period so that you do not lose any work or searches that you save, or wish to refer to, in these databases.

Columbia Gazetteer of the World A database of names, descriptions, and characteristics of over 165,000 places in the world. Users can search all the information--not just place-names--and segment it. Trial ends April 30, 2008

eHRAF World Cultures  The eHRAF World Cultures is a cross-cultural database that contains information on all aspects of cultural and social life. The annually-growing eHRAF database is unique in that the information is organized by cultures and ethnic groups and the full-text documents are subject-indexed at the paragraph level. Trial ends May 31, 2008
