Bolivia: Lens on Latin America

Program Excursions

Based in the city of Cochabamba, the program travels on excursion to La Paz, the city of paradoxes, in which sophisticated cinema exists in proximity with traditional markets and a bustling ambience. In this city with a fast growing and politically active neighbor, El Alto, and a spectacular volcanic peak of Illimani in the distance, students visit artists, filmmakers, film archives, and projects. Traveling outside the city, students find the rural highland agricultural villages surrounding the shores of the lovely Lake Titicaca, birthplace of the ancient civilizations of the Aymara and the Inca.
