Job Announce listserv

The Job Announce listserv is a one-to-many listserv. You can sign up to receive daily announcements for jobs in international development, education, exchange, advocacy and/or non-profit management.

World Learning’s Career Center posts the job announcements daily. Signing up to this listserv will give you access to hundreds of job openings across the globe.

Our listservs function like any other listserv. You can sign up to receive each email or to receive a daily digest version, or you can search the listings online. Please read instructions on how to sign up below.

Subscribing to the Job Announce list

Please note: you must be an alum of a World Learning program to gain access to our jobs listserv and online jobs postings.

To be added to the regular list serve (receive each email), please do the following:

• Send an email to lyris@list.worldlearning.org
• In the body of the email, write "subscribe Job_Announce". Delete any signatures you have in the body of your email or any other body text. Do not include a subject line.
• Submit!

To be added to the digest version (receive one email daily), please do the following:

• Send an email to lyris@list.worldlearning.org.
• In the body of the email, write "subscribe Job_Announce digest". Delete any signatures you have in the body of your email or any other body text. Do not include a subject line.
• Submit!

Once you are added to the listserv, you will receive an email letting you know how to post a message. The listserv email is: Job_Announce@list.worldlearning.org.

Posting a job opening: If you are interested in submitting a job opening to our jobs listserv, please email a description of the position, including contact info, to careercenter@worldlearning.org.

Viewing Discussions Online

Our jobs announcements are now available online. You can read, search and view previous job postings via an online portal. In order to view the job listings online, you must be subscribed to the listserv and you must be an alum of a World Learning program. A link can be found at the bottom of the listserv emails.

World Learning's Listserve Etiquette Policy:

We believe in order to have healthy discussions and communications between users, our users should follow common sense.

Listserve etiquette includes the following:

• Do not post messages containing defamatory, abusive, profane or offensive language.
• Do not "flame" individuals via the list.
• Conflicts should be resolved in personal emails; please do not respond to the entire list.
• Do not use all upper case letters when writing; this is seen as shouting.
• Feel free to express your ideas, thoughts and feelings; however, please do so without personally offending or attacking another individual, their beliefs or their posting.
• Be respectful of others' postings.

Our standard policy when someone doesn’t follow etiquette is on first offense to remind users of listserve etiquette. After a second episode, we send users a warning. After a third instance, we will remove the user from the listserve. If after that point, if you wish to be reinstated, please email us and we will make a decision on a case-by-case basis.
