Fleischman joined World Learning in February 2007, bringing with her 20 years of fundraising experience in the educational sector, most recently at the University of Vermont where she was responsible for a $250 million campaign. At UVM, Fleischman cultivated millions of dollars of gifts for the university, organized major fundraising events and coordinated programs that brought new philanthropists and volunteer leaders together.
Prior to her work at the UVM, Fleischman directed the New York Regional Office for the University of Pennsylvania during a $2 billion campaign. The New York region included more than half of the university's major donors. She also oversaw components of a $1 billion campaign for New York University.
Fleischman has a BA from Simmons College and a MA in Higher Education Management from Columbia University. She lives with her family in Burlington, Vermont.
