Switzerland: International Studies, Organizations, and Social Justice (Summer Program)

Coursework

The thematic seminar examines the history and development of international organizations; the role of international organizations in the new millennium, and an overview of development and the work of the United Nations, UN agencies, and nongovernmental organizations and voluntary agencies; as well as a critique of organizational strategies, mandates, and resources. The seminar also includes an intensive French language component for communications skills.  Students will embark on an independent research project, directing their interests toward a specific research question or organization.

The following syllabi are either from a recent session of this program or for an upcoming session. Because courses develop and change over time to take advantage of dynamic learning opportunities, actual course content will vary from term to term.

The syllabi can be useful for students, faculty, and study abroad offices in assessing credit transfer. Read more about credit transfer.
