Netherlands: International Perspectives on Sexuality and Gender

Kevin Connors, Academic Director

Kevin Connors has worked in experiential international education programs since 1991.  Prior to his current work with SIT's Netherlands program, Kevin worked six years in El Salvador (1991-97) and three years in Namibia and South Africa (1999-2001).  All of these programs had a strong social justice and gender focus.  Kevin received his Master's in Education with a focus on International Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.  He specialized in non-traditional approaches to teaching about international issues.  He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he received degrees in Social Thought and Political Economy and Third World Development.  In addition, he has coordinated election observation missions in Latin America and Africa, planned and led "training of trainers" workshops for election monitors, and designed participatory education materials for Oxfam America.
