Our Mission

The mission of Disability Support Services is to facilitate an accessible educational experience for students with disabilities and to serve as a resource to all members of the campus community in furthering this goal. Students with learning disabilities, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), physical, or other types of disabilities, are encouraged to contact the DSS Office for information and support.

Types of services we provide:

Assistance in requesting accommodations for a disability
Support in implementing approved accommodation plans
Information and referral for evaluations, tutoring, study skills, coaching, medication management, and community resources
Individual or group support for ability-related concerns
Workshops and/or individual consultation on a variety of topics such as:
- Time management
- Organizational skills
- Self-advocacy skills
- Interpersonal skills for small group work
- Stress management
- Raising awareness about disability issues

DSS works with students at all stages of the accommodation process and disability awareness. Students who believe they may have a disability, but have never been evaluated, are encouraged to contact Disability Support Services for information and referral.
