SIT Appoints New Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost
BRATTLEBORO, VT (November 6, 2009) -- SIT/World Learning is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lynne Rosansky to the position of vice president of academic affairs and provost.
“Lynne brings a wonderful commitment to our mission and a passion for innovation that will help shape our future,” said Adam Weinberg, World Learning president and CEO. “I am excited to welcome Lynne to the World Learning and SIT community."
Rosansky brings more than 20 years of experience in academic leadership roles. She comes to SIT from the SUNY Levin Institute, a graduate institute of international relations and commerce, where she serves as vice president for academic affairs. In this role, she directs the Global Workforce Skills development project and the FastTrac program for New York City entrepreneurs. Rosansky also developed the curriculum for the JumpStartNYC program to support the career transitions of financial services professionals.
Prior to joining the Levin Institute, Rosansky was president of Hult International Business School, formerly the Arthur D. Little School of Management. Over the course of her career, Rosansky has served on the faculties of Brandeis University Graduate School for International Economics & Finance, Simmons Graduate School of Management, Babson College and The International University of Japan in Niigata-ken, Japan.
As founder of LHR International, Rosansky applied her expertise in the area of human resource strategy and competency model development. She developed several core competencies for businesses to use in the selection and training of high potential managers and senior leaders. Some of her consulting projects in the field of human resources include work with the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Postal Service, the U.S. Navy, Polaroid Corporation and General Electric.
“It is with great excitement that I anticipate joining the SIT/World Learning community,” said Rosansky. “SIT's rich array of assets (people and programs) provides a unique set of ingredients for preparing the next generation of global citizens who will lead our world forward toward peace and social justice for all," said Rosansky.
Rosansky serves on a number of boards, including the Institute of Intercultural Studies and Women in World Trade. Rosansky will formally join SIT/World Learning in January.
