Iraqi Young Leader Exchange Program (IYLEP) Exchange 1: Summer 2008; Exchange 2: Summer 2008
Through IYLEP Iraqi youth, ages 15-17, will gain the knowledge and leadership skills to become more engaged in their schools and communities, and get to know America and American youth, as well as the members of their own group of ethnically, religiously, and nationally diverse participants. Program segments will take place in Cleveland, Ohio; Seattle, Washington; Brattleboro, Vermont and Washington D.C.
Youth Leadership: Diversity, Democracy, Globalization and Citizenship, July 7 – August 3, 2008
World Learning, as primary grantee, in partnership with the Federated Experiment in International Living in Germany and Turkey, and collaborating with the International Visitors Center of Chicago and Critical Mass Leadership Education, Inc. will administer the exchange program for students and adult youth leaders from Germany, Turkey and the United States.
