How To Negotiate Like A Pro: 41 Rules for Resolving Disputes by Mary Greenwood (Ireland '64-'65)

Brattleboro, VT (March 14, 2007) Experiment in International Living alum, Mary Greenwood (Ireland '64-'65) was recently awarded the best "How To Book" for her book titled How To Negotiate Like A Pro: 41 Rules for Resolving Disputes.The newly published author, Mary Greenwood is an attorney as well as a mediator and arbitrator residing in Miami Beach.She, along with her other colleagues, were honored in a ceremony in Los Angeles to cap the Fifth Annual Do It Yourself (DIY) Book Festival, which honors independent and self-published books on the cutting-edge of literature.
How to Negotiate Like A Pro is based on Greenwood's experience as Chief Union Negotiator and her career in conflict resolution, which began when she was part of the EIL Ireland Program. During her stint in Ireland, she discovered her passion for resolving differences.After years of experience in the field, she noticed a specific set of rules people use in successful negotiations, and she subsequently began to compile the rules in How to Negotiate Like A Pro, a hand book for negotiating any type of conflict.

For over 25 years, Mary has worked in careers that require expert negotiation as an attorney, mediator, arbitrator, law school professor, human resources director, EEO consultant and union negotiator. She has a B.A. in English from New School University, an M.A. in English from University of South California, a J.D. from California Western School of Law and an LL.M. in Labor Law from George Washington National Law Center. She is also the author of Hiring, Firing, and Supervising Employees: An Employer's Guide to Discriminations Laws. Mary is presently working on a sequel called 41 Rules for Mediating Like A Pro and a book on retirement.
