Video Promotes Model for Helping Ethiopian Orphans and Vulnerable Children Stay in School

BRATTLEBORO, VT (January 13, 2009) -- World Learning, in collaboration with George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs, recently completed production of a five-minute documentary about the Communities and Schools for Children Affected by HIV/AIDS (CASCAID) project in Ethiopia. CASCAID, which ended in December 2008, was a two-year USAID program implemented by World Learning that focused on helping Ethiopian orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS continue and complete their education at a primary school level.

The short video, produced for and funded by USAID, tells the story of CASCAID through the eyes of a girl whose life has been impacted by the program. The video will be distributed in Ethiopia and elsewhere to share learning from and help promote replication of this successful program model.

You can view the video on World Learning's YouTube channel.
