Putumayo World Music World Hits CD

BRATTLEBORO, VT (August 28, 2007) - World Learning is proud to be the exclusive non-profit partner on the Putumayo World Music CD, World Hits, released and available in stores today. World Hits is an exhilarating collection of popular chart toppers from around the globe. A portion of the proceeds from every World Hits CD sold will be donated to support World Learning’s efforts to foster global citizenship through experiential education and community driven development programs.

World Hits celebrates cross-cultural sensations from Brazil, Senegal, France, Cameroon, and South Africa and features artists such as Santana, Manu Dibango, Mongo Santamaria, Johnny Clegg and Savuka, The Gipsy Kings, Peter Tosh, and more.

Putumayo World Music was established in 1993 to introduce people to the music of the world’s cultures. Putumayo expresses its commitment to the spirit of global collaboration by raising awareness and support for organizations that help improve the quality of life in regions where the music they release originates.
